Specification “blurb” others have included in one form another into their engineering
specifications.
Dry System Piping Requirements :
Pipe:
All dry sprinkler pipe systems must meet Factory Mutual (FM)
requirements for Galvanized pipe (ASTM 53 zinc coating, FM Approved Galvanizing
facility). Galvanized Schedule 10 or 40 FM Approved. Galvanized
pipe less than schedule 10 must
pass ASTM A653 zinc adhesion test – as approved by FM . (IDOD GAL-5, GAL-7 Acceptable
Manufacturer). All piping must be used in conjunction with limitations
of listing or approval agencies.
